General Features and Production Capabilities
Five-axis machining for solid-wood furniture components
Maestro combines multi-face milling, drilling, shaping and angled machining for complex chair, table, sofa and decorative furniture components in one controlled production platform.
Twin X zones for a continuous production rhythm
Two 1,100 mm X zones provide a combined 2,200 mm envelope. One area can be prepared while the other is in cycle, subject to the workholding and safety plan.
- 1,100 + 1,100 mm X
- 1,460 mm Y
- 1,000 mm Z
Flexible workholding for different part geometries
Adjustable pneumatic supports and clamps help position solid-wood components for repeatable multi-face machining. The final fixture plan is prepared around the blank, finished geometry and tool access.
Servo-driven precision axis movement
Panasonic servo motors, rack-and-pinion transmission and Schneeberger linear-motion components support controlled acceleration and stable positioning across the machining envelope.
Central automatic lubrication with adjustable intervals
The ILC unit distributes lubricant to motion components at operator-defined intervals, helping maintain a consistent maintenance routine and reduce avoidable stoppages.
TPA industrial control and remote diagnostics
The Windows-based industrial control provides EtherCAT communication, production reporting and a purpose-built operator interface. Integrated connectivity supports remote service diagnostics when required.
CAD/CAM, 3D simulation and production optimization
Pegasus supports 3D preparation, simulation and supported STL, DWG, DXF and IGES data workflows. SMC Wood Optimizer helps order machining steps for a more efficient digital path.
Hiteco 2+2 head for multi-direction machining
The 24,000 rpm Hiteco head combines vertical and cross-oriented tool outputs to reach different faces and details with fewer workholding changes.

Frequently asked questions
Which parts can the Maestro 5-Axis CNC Machining Center produce?
It is designed for complex solid-wood furniture components such as chair, table, sofa and armchair parts, decorative profiles and other pieces requiring multi-face milling, drilling, shaping or angled machining. Final suitability is evaluated from the drawing, blank, workholding plan and required tool access.
What is the working envelope and how do the twin X zones work?
The X axis is divided into two 1,100 mm working zones for a combined 2,200 mm envelope. Y travel is 1,460 mm and Z travel is 1,000 mm. Depending on the fixture and safety plan, one area can be prepared while the other is machining to support a continuous production rhythm.
What machining operations does the Hiteco 2+2 head support?
The ER32 cross head combines vertical and lateral tool outputs at up to 24,000 rpm. This arrangement supports multi-face milling, drilling, shaping and angled details with fewer workholding changes; the exact tool path is verified in CAD/CAM for each part.
What do the TPA control and Pegasus software provide?
TPA provides a Windows-based industrial interface, EtherCAT communication, detailed reporting and remote diagnostic connectivity. Pegasus CAD/CAM supports 3D preparation, simulation and compatible STL, DWG, DXF and IGES workflows, while SMC Wood Optimizer helps sequence machining steps efficiently.
Which main equipment is standard on Maestro?
The documented standard configuration includes the Hiteco ML-1C 2+2 head, TPA control, Pegasus CAD/CAM and SMC optimization, VPS 250 m³/h dry vacuum system, ILC automatic lubrication, Schneeberger linear components, Panasonic servo motors and Schneider Electric cabinet components.
What are the machine dimensions and installed power?
The machine measures 3,944 × 2,890 × 3,887 mm (155.28 × 113.78 × 153.03 in) and has 31 kW total installed power. The installation plan should also allow for service access, extraction, electrical supply, vacuum equipment and safe material handling.
Which part data should be shared for a production evaluation?
Share the part drawing or 3D model, wood species, raw-stock dimensions, finished geometry, faces to be machined, required milling, drilling and shaping operations, expected daily quantity, surface target and preferred workholding method. A physical sample is useful when geometry or wood behaviour needs validation.
